An independent Australian resource for comparing USDT exchanges, tracking the USDT/AUD price, and understanding how Tether works. Built for Australians, by Australians.
Every result on the first page of Google for "buy USDT" is an exchange trying to sell you their platform. There is no independent comparison. No site that shows you the actual cost difference between Binance, OKX, CoinSpot, and Independent Reserve for the same USDT/AUD trade.
buyusdt.com.au was built to fill that gap. We aggregate fee structures, order book depth, and regulatory data across every AUSTRAC-registered exchange offering USDT to Australian buyers, and present it in a single, sortable table with a proprietary scoring system. The goal is to save you money on every USDT purchase by making the true cost transparent.
Show you their own fees but never compare them to competitors. "Instant buy" buttons embed hidden spreads of 0.5 to 1.5%. No mention of alternative platforms.
Shows every AUSTRAC-registered exchange side by side. Spot fees, spreads, order book depth, and a weighted score. Calculates your actual cost for any amount before you trade.
Rankings are determined by a proprietary USDT Buy Score calculated from seven weighted factors. Exchanges without live CoinGecko data receive 0/10 for liquidity, volume, and data availability.
This site is designed for three types of Australian USDT buyers:
People buying USDT for the first time who want to understand what it is, which exchange to use, and how to avoid overpaying on fees and spreads.
Active crypto users who buy USDT regularly and want to verify they are using the cheapest exchange for their trade size.
Australians using USDT as a rails for international transfers who need to minimise conversion costs before sending abroad.
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you sign up to an exchange through one of our links, we may receive a commission. This is how the site is funded.
Affiliate relationships do not influence our rankings. The USDT Buy Score is calculated from publicly verifiable data (fees, spreads, depth, deposit methods, AUSTRAC registration). An exchange cannot pay to improve their position in the table. If an exchange offers us a higher commission rate, that does not change their score.
We believe transparent affiliate disclosure is better than pretending independence while accepting payment. You can verify every data point in our table by checking each exchange's website and the AUSTRAC DCE Register for AUSTRAC status, DCE numbers, registered entity names, and ABNs.
If you have questions, corrections, or feedback about the data on this site, we'd like to hear from you.
We aim to respond to all enquiries within 2 business days.
